It has always seemed that I am the happiest when I’m close to saltwater. It doesn’t matter if it’s the crystal blue of the Caribbean or the aqua green of the Gulf of Mexico…. just so long as it’s salty and has a beach attached to it. My favorite beach as for convenience is probably South Padre Island, TX. I’ve been going there on a regular basis since 1989 and have watched it grow from a small little beach town to the Texas paradise it is now. Over the past decades it has undergone a subtle transformation that now caters to not only the “Spring Break” crowd, but the family vacationers as well.
